If you haven’t been to Ricketts Glen it’s a must. I first went in the autumn and walking on the nearly deserted trail following the river through the old growth forest with amazing views of the 25 waterfalls, I couldn’t help but think of the man who stumbled upon the area on a fishing trip and the family that decided to ensure that it remained wild and open to the public. Many of the waterfalls are named after the Native American tribes that used to live in the area.
